Since their inception, they’ve screamed two things: “Wu-Tang is Forever” and “Wu-Tang is For the Children.” Recently celebrating 25+ years of WU, we now know how that Legacy becomes a Dynasty.
2nd Generation WU picks up their own torch, lit from their parents, and blazes a trail all their own. Led by the core of iNTeLL (son of U-God) and PXWER (son of Method Man) and featuring SUN GOD (son of Ghostface Killah) and Young Dirty Bastard (son of the late Old Dirty Bastard), 2nd Generation WU has split off the Wu-Tang family tree and created a new branch all their own.
With the release of their debut single “7.O.D.” via Dock Street Records, 2nd Generation WU kicks off with a tight track that hearkens the glory days of hip hop, just like when their fathers launched Wu. “Not only am I ecstatic that a song I’ve been trying to make for 13 years is actually in existence, but we actually get to share it with the world in the proper fashion,” says iNTeLL. “I’m ridiculously excited and I think it’s definitely in my top five favorites of songs I’ve made throughout my career.”

Spending years perfecting their crafts, navigating the many chambers of life, and growing up amidst an artistic movement that grew to become an international, cultural and musical way of life for millions, the second generation of WU has observed and perfected the flow and are prepared. “It’s actually a great honor to be able to continue the legacy,” he says. “I know some may feel differently about what we’re doing but the only way to turn a legacy into a dynasty is through the bloodline.”

So now, at the anniversary of their forefathers’ 25th year, their time has come. These young kings have formed a perfect fusion of hip hop royalty. 7.O.D. song concept was created by iNTeLL and Dock Street Records in-house producer Zeph and elegantly perfected by JJP and J.Glaze (Wu-Tang Clan, A Tribe Called Quest, DJ Whoo-Kid). With more music getting prepared and an album planned for 2020 release, 2nd Generation WU is gearing up to take that torch and keep running. “The next phase is to deliver the album to the world in the beginning of 2020 then begin the tour we have lined up with G13MUSIC [record label/booking agency in Barcelona],” says iNTeLL. “Other than that, we’re ready to get to work on stage and in front of the camera.”
