zenxienz's Brainforest

“Music is a journey of the mind” according to zenxienz, a Hong Kong-born
musician, producer, and songwriter. Cameron Williamson is the talent behind zenxienz, which is an IDM masterpiece of creative music that will be absorbed right into your subconscious mind when you listen to it.

Brainforest is full of sounds and feelings. At once sounding Aboriginal followed quickly with a sound that could be of Asian origins, the music on this album is definitely worldly. Most of the music is a little too upbeat for meditation purposes, but it would make a great soundscape for yoga practice, belly dancing, and even ritual work.

“Insignia,” the first track on the album, is one of the most memorable songs of this collection of unique and mesmerizing music. “Micronaut” sounds like a song that might play in a Chinese garden, while you read your horoscopes and consult the I-Ching.

While some songs have a worldly sound, others have more of an otherworldly sound, like “In Descent.” This song will make you feel like you’re on a spaceship hanging out with aliens. It’s strange, ambient, and creative.

This is a must own album for anyone that enjoys creative and experimental music. Even if you’ve never heard of IDM you’ll still love this music. It’s soul pleasing.
