Tiger Sex at Kaiju in Louisville, KY 1-5-18

Written By: Michael Deinlein

Dynamic punk rockers, Tiger Sex shake Louisville’s Kaiju to the core with Ron and The Kids Wrong.

A great crowd packed the small, Kaiju stage welcoming Tiger Sex back to Louisville for a great night of punk rock.  With her usual free and no holds barred style, singer Kelly Tiger Sex is all over the venue, sitting atop the speaker stacks for more than one song during the evening, roaming through the crowd and twisting and contorting from one end of the stage to the other.  Her stage presence is akin to a female Iggy Pop, with a relentless energy that draws you in from the first song.

Tiger Sex was recently listed in the top 10 list of Chicago concerts by Chicagoconcertgoer.com http://www.chicagoconcertgoers.com/top-concerts-of-2017 and it’s easy to see why.   Along with Kelly Tiger Sex and her erotically suggestive and energetic fronting, guitarist Kei more than holds his own, giving the crowd an ample supply of tight and steamy riffs that energizes the entire room.

Supporting Tiger Sex this evening are a couple of fun and lively local Louisville groups. 3-piece punk rockers Ron start the evening with a great set.  Fronted by singer Chris McDaniel along with guitarist John Gravatte and drummer Scott Sharp, Ron rolls thru a spirited 30-minute set that gets better and better as it goes. Closing the evening in a raucous way are rockers Kids Born Wrong. Their 30-minute set is loud and fast, closing out a great evening of music. Kids Born Wrong are Taylor Niles Kane White, Chase Palmer, and Tony Rogers.
