The Cadillac Three set the house on fire with a rocking performance in Louisville with The Josephine’s.
A wet and rainy afternoon across the Louisville area didn’t dampen fans spirits as they filed into the Mercury Ballroom, ready to party. The Cadillac Three’s (TC3) Long Hair Don’t Care tour is turning into their final 10 US shows (after starting on March 15th in Kansas City, Mo) supporting their most recent album Legacy.
As the House lights drop “The Cadillac Three from Nashville, Tennessee” booms over the PA system and the guys casually walk on stage, arms raised in the air as if to say they were just as stoked to see the audience as the audience was to see them. Without any additional fanfare Jaren Johnston (lead vocals, guitar), Kelby Ray (bass guitar, Dobro, acoustic guitar, vocals), and Neil Mason (drums, vocals) take their positions on the and launch into the first songs of what would be an almost 2-hour performance.
As the evening carried on, The Cadillac Three tore through the most notable tracks of their three studio albums including “Long Hair Don’t Care,” “Hank & Jesus,” “Bury Me In My Boots,” “Tennessee Mojo,” “Drunk Like You,” and “American Sling” that had the crowd doing their best to out sing the guys on stage. Onstage the guys were all smiles, pointing and interacting with the crowd while keeping the Party type atmosphere going at a fever pitch.
Unfortunately, all good things come to an end and this evening being no different as TC3 close out a memorable evening with “The South” from the 2014 Tennessee Mojo album putting the finishing touches on a great evening, leaving fans happy and satisfied.
From Bowling Green, KY The Josephine’s started the evening off in a great way. Founded in 2017 and fronted by the energetic singer/guitarist Brad Tabor along with lead guitarist Zach Lindsey, bassist Josh London, steel guitarist Alex Lindsey and drummer David Page, the Josephine’s rolled through a solid 45-minute set that had the whole house jumping, proving to be a perfect complement to The Cadillac Three.
