Shinedown members Brent Smith and Zack Myers have teamed up for a string of acoustic shows. On Monday night the duo made a stop at The Fillmore in Silver Spring, MD for the third stop of the tour which will run thru January 6th when it wraps up in Joliet, WI.
Zack Mack and J.R. Moore kicked off the night with a 45 minute acoustic set that featured covers of The Allman Brothers’ “Whipping Post,” and closed out with Elvis Presley’s “Suspicious Minds”.
Fans filled The Fillmore’s floor and balconies for the ‘Songs for the Soul’ tour, which featured an intimate acoustic evening with Brent Smith and Zack Myers of Shinedown. The duo played a 17 song set that lasted nearly two hours and featured many of Shinedown’s biggest hits as well as a mix of numerous covers. The nights set kicked off with a trio of Shinedown songs before playing the first cover of the night, The Black Crowes’ “She Talks to Angels”. Other notable covers of the night were Metallica’s “Nothing Else Matters,” a medley consisting of Prince’s “Little Red Corvette,’ and Tom Petty’s “Last Dance With Mary Jane,” and the Eagles’, “Take it Easy”. The evening wrapped up with a tribute to the late Chris Cornell with the duo performing Soundgarden’s “Black Hole Sun”. Fans can purchase VIP and ticket packages from HERE.
