Slayer At Pier Six Pavilion 7/28/2017

One of the summer’s biggest metal tours made its way to Baltimore’s Pier Six Pavilion on Friday night.

Despite monsoon like conditions, fans filled the pavilion for a chance to catch Behemoth, Lamb of God, and Slayer. The tour kicked off on July 12th in Minnesota and is scheduled to wrap up on August 20th in Arizona. Fans can purchase tickets, as well as meet and greet packages HERE

Poland’s Behemoth were first up on the night. The band are currently working on their next album which is slated to be released in late 2018. The band’s opening set consisted of seven songs which opened with “Ora Pro Nobis Lucifer” from their 2014 release, The Satanist and wrapped up with “Chant for Eschaton 2000” from the album Satanica.  Fans can keep up with Behemoth HERE.

It had been since June 2013 since Lamb of God had been on stage in Baltimore, far to long for the die-hard fans who had come out to see them return to Baltimore. The nights setlist included “Now You’ve Got Something To Die For,” “Ruin,” and “Walk With Me In Hell”, which if not for the seated venue would have saw mosh pits breaking under under the pavilion. Lamb of God’s 10 song set left fans wondering how long they would have to wait until the guys return to the charm city with a longer headlining set.

June 6th may be the ‘International Day of Slayer’, but for Baltimore July 28th was all about Slayer making their return to Baltimore after a long seven years. Slayer filled the 4400 seat pavilion and gave fans a 20 song set to make up for lost time. The night’s set contained all the fan favorites and closed out with a six song blaze of glory that could make any Slayer greatest hits album. The guys kicked off the nights set with the title track off of their 2015 release, Repentless and closed out with “Season in the Abyss,”  “Hell Awaits,” “South of Heaven,” “Raining Blood,” “Chemical Warfare,” and “Angel of Death”. Fans can look for new material from Slayer possibly in 2018.
