Sea In The Sky's Everything All At Once

Sea In The Sky is a California band with a new album about to drop later this month. Listening to this album is a pleasure, with a multitude of chords and sounds, and a talented band backing up creative lyrics, the music on this album is sure to make new fans happy. Everything All At Once is the band’s debut album, filled with alternative rock sounds with an experimental edge. They’ve been compared to bands like Dance Gavin Dance and Intervals.

Sea In The Sky is Sam Kohl on Vocals, Johan Guerra on Bass, Rodney Dudum on Guitar, Jakob Bray on Guitar, and Daniel Larsen on Drums. They classify their music as prog rock, and it definitely fits that genre. The vocals kind of have an emo-like sound to them, the music has an epic sound to it.

“Dreamer” is a very melodic song with ever changing tones. At one moment it will be relaxing and almost mesmerizing, the next the instruments get louder and the music speeds up. It’s a song that sounds like the emotions a person goes through from one moment to the next.

“Pale Blue Dot” opens with some clever guitar work, which continues throughout most of the song. It’s probably an easy riff, but it sounds great and gives the song a more complex sound. “Not Too Tall, Not Too Cool” continues the sound that is rampant in the music on this album. It’s a big sound that demands you listen. Any fan of prog rock and experimental music will find this album to be a clever piece of work.

It’s evident throughout that Sea In The Sky have a particular sound. If you heard their music on the radio after becoming a fan you would easily recognize them, from the lyrics to the overall sound. It’s a talented band with an interesting sound. Check out Sea In The Sky on Facebook, and purchase their new album, Everything All At Once, later this month. https://www.facebook.com/TheSeaTheSky/
