Sabaton wrapped up their ‘The Last Tour’ tour last night at The Fillmore in Silver Spring, MD. The tour which hit 26 cities during April and May also featured Battle Beast and Leaves’ Eyes.
Finland’s Battle Beast got things started on this Monday night. Fronted by Noora Louhimo, the band had the crowd fist pumping and singing along thru out their set. Members of Sabaton made several appearances on stage during the set dressed as women or sporting their beach outfits. During the song “Beyond the Burning Skies,” Elina Siirala of Leaves’ Eyes joined Noora on vocals as well. Leaves’ Eyes are currently touring in support of their latest release, King of Kings which was released in October of 2016. The night’s set was comprised of tracks from the new album along with the single, “Fires in the North” and wrapped up with “Blazing Waters”. Closing out the night was Sweeden’s Sabaton. By the time the guys hit the stage The Fillmore was full and the crowd was warmed up. Sabaton released their latest album, The Last Stand which can be purchased HERE. Sabaton wrapped up the tour with a 14 song setlist that played heavy on the albums, The Art of War, and The Last Stand with a few older tracks mixed in. August will mark the 10th anniversary of Sabaton Open Air, which will be held on August 16th through the 19th in Falon, Sweeden. Information regarding the festival can be found HERE.
