Rival Sons Live At Badlands Pawn, Gold, and Rock and Roll January 21, 2016

By Elsa Martinez

Have you ever seen a band and think to yourself that they seem so familiar and have all the great qualities of some of your favorite bands? Well, the Rival Sons could be quite easily the musical spawn of Led Zepplin and The Doors.

The combination of rock, blues, funk and soul, you don’t need to be a big fan of theirs to become a huge fan after you succumb to the incredible presence between singer Jay Buchanan and guitarist Scott Holiday. The flowing moves by Jay and the wailing guitar riffs by Scott along with the beating bass and drums by Michael Miley (drums), Dave Beste (bass), and Todd Ögren-Brooks (keyboard), will mesmerize you and get you moving and singing along.

The California band has been on the road since 2009, and has recently joined the Black Sabbath – The End tour as their supporting act.

If you get a chance to see them live, whether with Black Sabbath or on one of their more intimate shows, you will not be disappointed!
