REVOLUTION ROCK FESTIVAL

WRAPS FIRST YEAR WITH 15,000 IN ATTENDANCE

OUTDOORS AT FOXWOODS RESORT CASINO IN MASHANTUCKET, CT

WITH HEADLINERS AVENGED SEVENFOLD,

ALONG WITH SLAYER, VOLBEAT, CHEVELLE, AND MORE

Revolution Rock Festival—fueled by Monster Energy—wrapped its first year with 15,000 in attendance at the Saturday, September 17 rock festival held outdoors at Foxwoods Resort Casino in Mashantucket, CT.

Produced by AEG Live, Revolution Rock Festival featured performances from 16 bands on two stages, including headliners Avenged Sevenfold, along with Slayer, Volbeat, Chevelle, Of Mice & Men, Anthrax, Ghost, Killswitch Engage, Sevendust and more.

The venue was at capacity and hotel rooms at adjacent Foxwoods Resort Casino were sold out during the festival, which offered multiple onsite experiences and some of the area’s yummiest food trucks and vendors in addition to top rock bands.

Here is some praise for Revolution Rock Festival from various media:

“The Revolution Rock Festival shook the grounds at Foxwoods Resort Casino on Saturday. It was an action packed day of heavy hitting hard rock and heavy metal on two stages, headlined by popular metal band Avenged Sevenfold and ghoulish Swedish rock band Ghost…The enormous roster was enough to please even the pickiest metal head…”

“The festival…was well-done. The schedule of acts was maintained like a military operation. The band selection was strong. The food choices were plentiful and tasty. And the shuttles taking fans on and off the property—and the parking situation—were well-handled. Overall, I give Revolution Rock and all of the acts on the bill, four out of four stars. This was probably one of the best-run festivals I’ve attended.”

–Mike Chaiken, Bristol Observer, September 18, 2016

“…it was a beautiful pre-fall day and trees on the gentle hills backdropping Foxwoods property were starting to change color…The performances went off like clockwork with no overlaps, and people got quickly into the tide-like rhythm of dashing back and forth from one act to the next…Space doesn’t allow for analysis of all the bands, but there was something about each I enjoyed…The sound from both stages was particularly clear, which is never easy outdoors and with the musical dynamics and rhythm of metal. We’ll look forward to Revolution II…”

–Rick Koster, New London Day, September 18, 2016
