Brendan McMahon’s About Joe

Brendan McMahon's About Joe
Australian crooner Brendan McMahon returns with another EP full of beautiful tracks that will seep into your mind and soul. The album begins with a track that is sure to spark your own inner light and ambitions.

First, as a little reminder, McMahon is a Melbourne native that makes music that can only be described as a combination of Celtic, folk, rock, pop, country, and blues. He finds a muse in nature, in traveling, in life. These things are all reflected in the wonderfully rendered songs you’ll hear on his recording.

About Joe is an EP that comes as a follow-up to his 2017 release The Universalist

“Home” begins the EP with such a great sound that you might just want to keep listening to that song, over and over again. It kind of has a sound reminiscent to that of some of the mellower works of Bruce Springsteen. It’s mellow, but it still has some punch with some excellent guitar work.

This EP is even better than The Universalist. Any fan of mellow rock, adult contemporary, or the slower side of pop music will be happy with this music. It’s far more rock than it is country.

Of the five songs on this EP, “Fall Down” stands out the most. This song has a bit of an 80s pop sound to it and might make you want to dance a little. No pun intended, but “Fall Down” is an uplifting song.
