Akron, Ohio rockers Red Sun Rising release a new video this week, featuring their version of Alanis Morissette’s “Uninvited,” directed by Brad Golowin. Morrissette’s original was released in 1998 on the “City of Angels” soundtrack. Red Sun Rising delivers a hypnotic rendition; chock full of heavy grit, haunting guitars, and towering vocals. You can check out the video here: http://bit.ly/2nTipBG.
Red Sun Rising made headlines with their debut full-length album Polyester Zeal (via Razor & Tie) and earned their own small piece of rock radio history with two straight #1 hit singles off of a debut album on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Chart. This marked the first time in over a decade that a band has achieved back-to-back #1s at rock with its first two singles, “The Otherside” and “Emotionless.” The band made strides again this year with a 2017 iHeartRadio Music Awards nomination in the “Best New Rock/Alternative Rock Artist” category.
Red Sun Rising is Mike Protich (vocals/guitar), Ryan Williams (guitar), Ricky Miller (bass/vocals), Dave McGarry (guitar/vocals) and Pat Gerasia (drums). For more information on Red Sun Rising, please visit: www.redsunrisingmusic.com.
