Periphery, the DC-based technical metal band whose double album, Juggernaut: Alpha and Juggernaut: Omega, debuted at #15 and #16 on Billboard’s Top Albums’ chart, have returned to the studio to record their fourth album.

“I’m really stoked to be back writing and recording new material with the band,” said bass player/production wizard Adam “Nolly” Getgood. “It feels like everyone is really on the same wavelength. I can’t wait for people to hear the new songs – we’re exploring a lot of new territory for Periphery, I’m very excited to hear the results once the whole process is finished.”

The as-of-yet untitled album will arrive in early summer via Sumerian Records.

Periphery recently announced the “Periphery Summer Jam,” a four-day immersive experience (July 25 to 29) featuring instrument and production clinics, songwriting tutorials and exclusive live performances set amidst the mountains off the Hudson Valley at the Full Moon Resort in Big Indian, New York.

“We’re going to give you an in-depth look at our songwriting process, what we do in the studio and on tour,” said guitar player and Guitar Player columnist Mark Holcomb. “We also just kind of wanted to hang out with our fans.”
