The Order Of Things Tour Rolls into The Machine Shop 12/17/2015

Metal bands invaded the Machine Shop for the Order of Things Tour featuring All That Remains, Devour The Day, Audiotopsy and Sons of Texas.

First up for the night was Sons Of Texas, a five piece from shockingly McAllen, Texas!  Singer Mark Morales’s amazing voice carried out strongly through the sold out crowd.  He was joined on stage by Mike Villarreal on drums, Nick Villarreal on bass, Jon Olivares on guitar, and  Jes De Hoyos – lead guitar. They put on a show full of energy and the sold out crowd loved them!

The highlight of the set was the bands first single “Baptized In The Rio Grande,” the title track off of the bands debut album with Razor & Tie.

Son’s of Texas is a must see band.  This was the second time I saw them and I was blown away for the second time. The crowd was full of people wearing Sons Of Texas t-shirts, they have a big fan base in Michigan!   Like their Facebook page and find a show near you!

Up next was Audiotopsy, See their review here: Audiotopsy review

The third band to hit the stage was Devour The Day, the four piece rock band from Memphis, TN which consists of  Blake Allison- vocals, Joey Chicago- bass, David Hoffman- guitar, and Ronnie Farris- drums.

The energy of this band is amazing;  charismatic Allison belting out the heavy and yet melodic lyrics , Joey Chicago never stops moving and hammering on his bass, Hoffman aggressively nailing his guitar. The energy from these guys is intoxicating.

Devour The Day is no stranger to The Machine Shop and they had a lot of Michigan fans in attendance. They played many songs off of their Time And Pressure album including,  “Respect”, “Blackout”, and “Get Out Of My Way”.   They played a new song and also their single “Faith.”  They closed out the set with “Good Man,” the entire sold out crowd singing along with Allison.

Finally it was time for All That Remains to take the stage in front of the sold out crowd. The crowd was packed from in front of the stage to the back walls of The Machine Shop.  Everyone was waiting in anticipation.  Finally to the cheers of the crowd they came on stage!  Frontman Philip Labonte put on a very impressive performance. His vocals were both clean and crisp and his screams were powerful as he opened with “Now Let Them Tremble” he was joined on stage by  Mike Martin– guitar, Oli Herbert– guitar, Aaron Patrick– bass and Jason Costa– drums.

It was my first time catching an All That Remains show, even though they have been one of my favorites.   They blew me away.  The powerful energy that they have is very contagious, thus forming a decent sized rowdy mosh pit.

The fourteen song set list included some of their biggest hits.  Including three songs off their 2015 release The Order of Things,“This Probably Won’t End Well,” “No Knock,”and “Victory Lap.”   They played a mix of songs off all of their previous albums.

Set List:

“For We Are Many”
“Stand Up”
“This Probably Won’t End Well”
“The Air That I Breathe”
“Victory Lap”
“No Knock”
“Six”
“The Last Time”
