Travis Barker’s 9th Annual Musink was held at the OC Event and Fair Center on March 4-6, 2016 weekend. As soon as you get through security you can hear the sweet sound of the tattoo guns soaking ink into skin. For anyone that has had at least one tattoo, that sounds creates this euphoria of your first time and you just have to do it again. There were lots of amazing talented artist to choose from to finish off your sleeve or get your very first tattoo. Sitting in the chairs, lying on the tables were open canvases for the tattoo artist to create on, while the canvases sat there with a grimace of pleasurable pain on their faces. Almost full naked bodies getting that last bit of bare skin colored in to the man proudly telling everyone that walked by “ This is my first tattoo!”.
The Hanger was packed. Yelawolf (http://www.yelawolf.com) hit the stage at 6pm fresh from getting a new tattoo on his ear. He started off with Outer Space, Catchfish Billy, and Whiskey in a Bottle. There were some technical difficulties that they were able to recover from quickly. Good thing we brought the acoustic guitar! Travis Barker crushing it on drums for both Yelawolf and his band the Transplants (http://thetransplants.com) Skinhead Rob(Death March) and Tim Armstrong(Rancid) killing it on vocals.
