In This Moment at The Norva 7/2/2017

The second leg of the ‘Half God, Half Devil’ tour rolled into Norfolk, VA as the tour made a stop at The Norva on Sunday night. 

The Los Angeles based dance troupe Little Miss Nasty got the crowd fired up with their brand of rock n roll burlesque set to popular metal tunes. For more info on Little Miss Nasty you can follow the group HERE.

Also appearing on the lineup for the night was Vimic featuring Joey Jordison, Kalen Musmecci, Jed Simon, Kyle Konkiel, Matt Tarach, and Steve Marshall. The band’s set consisted of six songs off their upcoming album and a drum solo by Joey. Highlights of the set were, “My Fate,” “Simple Skeletons,’ and “She Sees Everything”. The set had the crowd moshing and even a few crowd surfer before wrapping up with vocalist Kalen Musmecci taking to the crowd for a little crowd surfing of his own. By the time Motionless in White took to the stage the balconies were full and the near 1500 fans were ready for Chris Motionless and crew. MIW recently released Graveyard Shift and the nights setlist featured the tracks, “Eternally Yours,” and “Loud”. 

Closing out the night was the band everyone had come out to see, In This Moment. The band are set to release their upcoming album Ritual on July 21st. The nights setlist was a little different from the first leg of the tour. The nights set saw songs like “Big Bad Wolf,” and “Sex Metal Barbie” get swapped out for tracks off the upcoming album. Fans were treated to the new songs, “Roots,” “Oh Lord,” a cover of Phill Collins’ “In The Air Tonight” and “Black Wedding” a take on Billy Idol’s hit “White Wedding” which saw Chris Motionless join Maria on vocals. The current leg of the tour will wrap up on August 5th in Lincoln, NE. The band will take a few weeks off before launching the third leg of the tour, which should be released soon. Also look for In This Moment to make appearances at the following fall festivals, High Elevation, Louder Than Life, Rock Allegiance, and Aftershock.
