Metallica Earns Two Grammy® Nominations For 'Best Rock Album' and 'Best Rock Song'
 
Metallica’s album Hardwired…To Self-Destructreceived two Grammy® awards nominations this morning in the Best Rock Album category for the heralded, global chart-topping album and Best Rock Song for the song “Atlas Rise.”  Their albums have won a total of nine Grammy® Awards with 21 nominations.
 
Hardwired…To Self Destruct was originally released on November 18, 2016 on Metallica’s own Blackened Recordings record label and debuted at No. 1 around the world, selling over 800,000 copies worldwide in its first week.  The RIAA platinum-certified album is the top selling Rock Album of 2017.  It was produced by Greg Fidelman with James Hetfield and Lars Ulrich, and is available in various configurations at www.metallica.com
The 60th annual Grammy®Awards will take place at Madison Square Garden in New York City on January 28th and will air on CBS.
