Fans braved severe morning thunderstorms to come out for this years Lunatic Luau hosted by FM99. The festival, which continues to grow each year was host at Veterans United Home Loans Amphitheater at Virginia Beach and saw ten of today’s top bands perform across two stages.
Due to the severe thunderstorms causing delays in getting the side stage set up, local ‘Battle of the Bands’ winner, Friends With Monsters weren’t able to perform and start times for the first couple of bands were delayed.
The day got kicked off on the main stage with Dinosaur Pile Up, and once things were ready to go over on the side stage Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes got things started over there. Fans who waited out at the side stage thru the light rain saw performances by, Fozzy, Nothing More, and was closed out by a headlining performance by Filter.
Over on the amphitheater’s main stage Alter Bridge, The Pretty Reckless, Three Days Grace, and Chevelle set the tone and got fans ready for the nights headliner, Avenged Sevenfold.
