This band is no mythical or prehistoric creature, it’s a talented group of individuals that have created a great sound. Lochness Monster hails from the tropical state of Florida. They are Justin Shaner on Guitar, Michael Morello on Vocals, Rene Rivera on Drums, and Camilo Zea on Bass. This is the bands first full-length album since forming in 2014.
Dubbed similar to bands like Incubus, Jimmy Eat World, Silversun Pickups, and Weezer, as you’d expect they have an Indie/Alternative rock sound with great guitar licks and steady rhythms.
Songs like “Pendulum” paint a vivid picture in your head with well-written creative lyrics. “Pixie Cut” is reminiscent of Weezer and has a fun beat. “Lencois” is a slow song that has some powerful guitar work on it.
There are eleven songs on “Fables”, all sounding just like what you’d expect to hear in this genre. They have a mellow sound with great lyrics throughout.
