Lana Del Rey At Capital One Arena 1-25-2018

Lana Del Rey’s ‘LA To The Moon’ tour made a stop in the nation’s capital Thursday night as she played Capital One Arena.  Lana is currently touring in support of her 5th studio album, Lust For Life which was released back in July of 2017.

The nights stage production resembled the typical backyard you might find in the L.A. suburbs. Dressed in a black dress Lana Del Rey kicked off her 23 song set with “13 Beaches” from her latest release Lust For Life. The singer then took to the floor for a choreographed performance of “Pretty When You Cry” with her two back up singers. The nights set weighed heavy on material from the latest album with tracks from 2012’s Born To Die making up most of the rest of the set.

Not one to rely on big production with over the top theatrics, Lana Del Rey let her voice win the crowd over. The singer even took to the stage with a flying v guitar during “Yayo,” mixed in the Simon & Garfunkel song “Scarborough Fair” during “Cherry,” and took a shot at the President by changing up the lyrics to “When The World Was At War We Kept Dancing” to ‘boys, don’t make too much noise, on Twitter, ’cause it’s not funny’. The night’s set also featured hits like, “Blue Jeans,” Video Games,’ and “Summertime Sadness” before wrapping up with “Off To The Races”.

The tour is set to run through February 28th when it will wrap up in Honolulu, HI. For a complete listing of tour dates fans can go HERE.
