“Take Me”—KORN‘s newest track–is about beating addiction but from the point of view of the substance, a song that front man Jonathan Davis says was inspired by old country tunes as well as Brad Paisley’s “Alcohol.” “Take Me” is the fourth offering from the band’s upcoming studio album THE SERENITY OF SUFFERING (out October 21 on Roadrunner Records), following the Top 5 Active Rock smash “Rotting In Vain,” “Insane” and “A Different World” featuring Corey Taylor.

The song debuted yesterday (October 11) via Wall Street Journal’s Speakeasy blog, with Michael Calia stating, “Davis has said that the album is about his tortured relationship with suffering, that it makes him feel safe and, as the title says, serene. ‘Take Me’ ties into the over-arching theme of the album by focusing on addiction. The song takes the point of view of the substance, however, not the substance abuser.’”
Produced by Nick Raskulinecz (Foo Fighters, Deftones, Mastodon), THE SERENITY OF SUFFERING –KORN‘s 12th studio album—is highlighted by a return to a dual-guitar dynamic and some of front man Jonathan Davis‘ most inspired moments of self-reflection and expression. It finds KORN harnessing all the anger, power and trademark balance of darkness and light that made their name all those years ago. Pre-order the album here: http://flyt.it/KORNSOS
