Iron Maiden’s The Book Of Souls: Live Chapter

Iron Maiden, the metal powerhouse that never stops melting the faces off its metalhead fans, has come out with yet another stellar album. This time they’re giving you a taste of their live sound with The Book Of Souls: Live Chapter. If you’ve never witnessed Iron Maiden live, this won’t make up for that, but it’s still a treat to listen to for any metalheads out there.

This “Live Chapter” of The Book Of Souls contains 15 songs that were performed during the bands The Book Of Souls World Tour in 2016. It’s coming out on November 17 and will be available for streaming and digital download for those of you that like your music online. It will also be available as standard 2CD, Limited Edition Deluxe 2CD hardbound book, and as 180g 3LP Black Vinyl Triple Gatefold.

The 15 songs are:

If Eternity Should Fall

Speed Of Light

Wrathchild

Children Of The Damned

Death Or Glory

The Red And The Black

The Trooper

Powerslave

The Great Unknown

The Book Of Souls

Fear Of The Dark

Iron Maiden

The Number Of The Beast

Blood Brothers

Wasted Years

These songs span the entire career of the band, from the title track off their first 1980 release, Iron Maiden, to 2015’s Book Of Souls song “If Eternity Should Fall.” While it’s not a collection of the best of the best, since it’s missing popular songs like Run To The Hills and Aces High, it’s still an excellent catalog of some great Maiden songs.

Even those of you that aren’t normally fans of live albums will enjoy this collection. It sounds clean and tight. If it weren’t for the cheering crowds in the background this album could pass as a studio work.

Iron Maiden still rocks after all these years. Every song on this live album is just as great as the song before it. Even if you haven’t heard anything from their newest studio album you’ll still find some of the classics you hold dear (as you can see in the song list above). This is a must-have album for metal fans and Maiden fans alike. It’s metal at its finest.
