In just a few short days on July 21 the new CD from In This Moment called Ritual will be released to the world. The second single from the album, “Roots” has hit the airwaves and it is haunting and heavy and will no doubt please the Blood Legion.
Maria Bring once again delivers lyrics of empowerment and strength with her sultry voice. The song starts with a soft and subtle introduction and then delves deep into the head banging groove In This Moment has absolutely mastered.
The lyrics of roots once again allude to Brink’s “fuck you” attitude to anyone who has tried to hurt her or hold her down. “I’m stronger than I ever knew. I’m strong because of you. I hit back a little louder. Fuck you a little harder,” she sings. If you doubted Brink was one badass woman before you will most definitely rethink that after hearing this song.
“Roots” is a fantastic follow-up to the first single released from Ritual – “Oh Lord” – and it will no doubt make fans salivate for the rest of the album. In other In This Moment news…it was recently announced that In This Moment will be aboard Shiprocked 2018 as one of the main headliners along with Stone Sour, Seether, and Black Label Society.
