This morning Highly Suspect, who has the number one alternative album via the Billboard Music Chart, picked up their third Grammy nomination in 18 months for Best Rock Song. ‘My Name Is Human is the lead single off the band’s critically acclaimed Sophomore album ‘The Boy Who Died Wolf’ and has sat atop the rock radio charts for several weeks.

Highly Suspect is reigniting the rock genre through their progressive rock sound, attitude and powerful vocals. Born out of the bustling indie rock-centric borough of Brooklyn, NYC, the Cape Cod-bred rockers formed around the talents of Johnny Stevens (guitar, vocals, synths) and twin siblings Ryan (drums, vocals) and Rich (bass, vocals) Meyer.

Their debut album, Mister Asylum, produced by Joel Hamilton (Black Keys, Elvis Costello) earned two Grammy nominations for Best Rock Song and Best Rock Album. The boys performed their song ‘Lydia’ at the Grammy’s pre-telecast show. Their Grammy journey was documented by Billboard, The New York Times, and more.

This year the band is beyond excited about their nomination and are humbled to be nominated along side such iconic artists as David Bowie, Metallica, Radiohead and Twenty One Pilots.

Praise for The Boy Who Died Wolf:

“With The Boy Who Died Wolf, Stevens and the Meyer twins have taken a big step toward fine-tuning their retro-grunge attack into something far more dynamic, soulful and alluring. “
– NPR Music

“The first single off TBWDW was the infectious “My Name Is Human”, which layers dark synths along the cinematic production. “Little One” follows suit with a production that is less dark and a little bit more “upbeat,” the word frontman Johnny Stevens frequently used to describe the new album’s vibe.”
– Billboard

“Wolf broadens the band’s sonic scope, folding riot-inciting punk, electro-pop, desert rock, bluesy hard rock, and prog-rock into its fray.”
– Entertainment Weekly
