Ghost Live @ The Fillmore Spring 9/22/2015

On a day Pope Francis made his visit to Washington DC, on the other side of the beltway at The Fillmore Silver Spring Papa Emeritus III, lead vocalist for Ghost, greeted over 1700 fans as the band kicked off their “Black to the Future” tour. Fans lined up early to try to get the best spot to witness the event and by the time doors opened at 7:30 the line strecthed around the corner and down several blocks. Once inside the venue fans were quick to line up for a chance to grab the latest Ghost merchandise, which consisted of pins, posters, t-shirts, cds, albums and even a few autographed items. Ghost are currently out on a 30 date tour which last thru November 1st, with Many of the dates already sold out. The band released its latest album entitled “Meliora” on August 21st, and the album has seen much success in the charts peaking at #2 on the US Top Hard Rock Albums and #8 on the US Billboard 200. Having never seen Ghost live before I wasn’t too sure what to expect, however I must say I was trully impressed with how well the band sounded as they played a 19 song set that included 4 live debuts and even an acoustic number. As word of this tour spreads I fully expect to see more dates sell out, so I suggest buying tickets early so you dont miss out on this amazing tour.
