Grammy-Award winning Ghost played to a full house at The National on May 9th. The band who won a Grammy for Best Metal Performance showed the fans exactly why they were deserving of the award, playing a 90 minute set that captured the audience from start to finish. This is the bands second leg of their headlining Black To The Future tour, which has seen many of the shows sell out as their fan base continues to grow. The band has also been busy with this years festival season, playing on The World’s Loudest Month festivals as well as many others across the country. The current tour will continue in the U.S. until May 20th before the band heads over to Europe and then returning to the U.S. for more festival appearances. The band’s latest album “Meliora”, which was released in August of 2015 has had much success, reaching #2 on both the U.S. Billboard’s Top Hard Rock Albums, and Top Rock Album charts. The album which is filled with hits such as, “Spirit”, “From the Pinnacle to the Pit”, “Cirice”, “He Is”, and “Majesty” has been met with positive reviews from both music critics and fans. A highlight of the night for fans in the front row was when they were able to receive communion from the band, of all the times I have seen Ghost live this was the first time I had seen this. So check the tour dates below, get there early, and hopefully you can receive communion as well.
