Final Band added to Rock Fest Lineup!

DISTURBED, INCUBUS, GODSMACK TO HEADLINE ROCK FEST 2018

A DAY TO REMEMBER JOINS 25TH ANNUAL LINEUP

Rock Fest is excited to announce the final band joining the 25-annual Rock Fest lineup. A DAY TO REMEMBER will be performing in Cadott, Wis. for the first time in Rock Fest history, this year taking place July 12-14.

If you’ve seen A Day to Remember live, you know the group doesn’t hold anything back when it comes to putting on a great show. There’s pyro, streamers, confetti, toilet paper, giant plastic balls and even people venturing out into the crowd with the help of giant plastic bubbles … you definitely get more bang for your buck with an A Day to Remember show.

Over the course of the past several years, each of A Day To Remember’s releases have hit No. 1 on Billboard’s Rock, Indie and/or Alternative Charts. They’ve also sold more than a million units, racked up over 400 million Spotify streams and 500 million YouTube views, garnered two gold-selling albums and singles, all of which are just part of the reason why Rolling Stone called them “An Artist You Need To Know.”

DISTURBED, INCUBUS and GODSMACK are slated to headline the 25th annual rock music festival in Cadott, Wis., again hosted by Lou Brutus. True to Rock Fest’s immense success, 65+ bands will pack non-stop performances throughout the three-day festival. Other top bands include Rise Against, Halestorm, Seether, Black Label Society and Bush.

DISTURBED will be making their debut appearance at Rock Fest in July 2018. Disturbed have made good on every promise since their genesis. Their quadruple-platinum 2000 debut, The Sickness, formally announced their arrival as hard rock leaders. Throughout their career, they received a Grammy Award nomination in the category of “Best Hard Rock Performance” for “Inside the Fire” in 2009 and churned out nine No. 1 singles at Active Rock Radio, while selling over 12 million records globally. Immortalized (2015) lived up to its title and fortified their legacy further.

Following a tradition of outside-the-box covers, Disturbed tackled Simon & Garfunkel’s classic “The Sound of Silence” for Immortalized (2015). Rather than amplifying it, they went the other direction, tapping into vocalist David Draiman’s classical training and guitarist Dan Donegan’s knack for arrangement. With an orchestral expanse, acoustic leads, and chilling delivery, it’s unlike anything in the group’s catalog.

INCUBUS will be performing at Rock Fest for their first time. Since their formation in 1991, iconic multiplatinum Los Angeles rock band Incubus have consciously and continually shifted their perspective with each subsequent album, preserving the spirit that initially drove them and simultaneously challenging themselves as artists and human beings. Their eighth full-length, the aptly titled 8, arrives at a significant milestone for Incubus—releasing exactly 20 years since their major label debut S.C.I.E.N.C.E. landed back in 1997. A little older, a lot wiser, quite tighter, but equally ready to challenge themselves and rock music at large, Incubus change their perspective once more in 2017.

By 2017, the band’s sales exceeded 23 million worldwide, while landing four Top 5 debuts on the Billboard Top 200 and one #1 album. They’ve graced the stages of festivals everywhere from Lollapalooza and Air + Style to Download Festival and Pinkpop in addition to touring with Linkin Park, OutKast, Moby, Jane’s Addiction, Queens of the Stone Age and many more.

GODSMACK returns to Rock Fest after headlining in 2015. The band’s strong live performances, coupled with high record sales and growing number of fans, landed them time slots on Ozzfest 1999 and 2000, a European tour with Black Sabbath and an appearance at Woodstock 1999. In 2000, Godsmack released their second CD, Awake. This album’s title track dominated rock radio and broke chart records throughout 2000 and 2001. The CD’s instrumental track “Vampires” earned the band its first Grammy nomination. Godsmack toured Awake selling out arenas and outdoor venues nationwide with a gothic stage, video and pyro; lots of pyro!

The song Godsmack wrote [for motion picture The Scorpion King] and performed lived up to its title: “I Stand Alone” became the #1 single at Rock Radio and the most played Active Rock song in 2002 for 14 weeks straight. The band released Godsmack IV in 2006 and their album, The Oracle, hit the streets in 2010. 1000hp (2014) sets Godsmack to cruise even further. Drummer Shannon Larkin said, “We wanted to make a high energy record. The coolest feeling I’ve had in this band is making 1000hp.” Godsmack published on their website that new music is in the works for 2018.

2018 Debut Performers: The three-day festival includes a lengthy list of bands new to Rock Fest, including: Disturbed, Incubus, A Day To Remember, Black Label Society, Bush, Underoath, Gwar, Beartooth, Skid Row, Trivium, Red, Fozzy, Powerman 5000, Autograph, Attila, Otep, Through Fire, Ded, Soil, Deadset Society and Blacktop Mojo. Dee Snider, lead singer of Twisted Sister, and Ace Frehley, lead guitarist and co-founder of KISS, will also perform solo shows. Neither artist has performed Rock Fest without their bands—Twisted Sister in 2003 and 2004, and KISS in 2007 and 2013.

Three-day ticket holders are invited to an exclusive Bonus Bash on Wednesday, July 11 that will feature some of the biggest names coming to the festival. Gates will open to all other fans Thursday, July 12.
