EYEHATEGOD At Baltimore Soundstage 10/13/2016

Written By: Brandon Delano

With vocalist Mike IX Williams having to step away due to health issues earlier in the year EYEHATEGOD were forced to cancel tours before bringing in Phil Anselmo over the summer to fill in on select dates, including the bands performance at GWAR B-Q where they performed with Lamb of God. Now on their current tour which kicked off on October 6th and will wrap up on the 16th Jimmy Bower and company have tapped the front man of Lamb of God, Randy Blythe to fill in on vocals. The nights lineup consisted of locals Humanmania, Old Lines, and the touring package of Toxic Halocaust, EYEHATEGOD, and Discharge. By the time EYEHATEGOD hit the stage the Baltimore Soundstage had filled, and with no barricade fans were able to get up close and personal with the guys as they kicked off close to an hour long set. It didn’t take long for the floor to open up, and fans to begin to mosh, with some even making their way on to the stage during the set. You would never know that Randy Blythe was only temporarily filling in on vocals, as he fit right in never missing a beat. Despite feeling a bit under the weather Jimmy was in good spirits interacting with the crowd and accepting the crowds nomination for “Jimmy For President 2016”. With Mike IX’s health still in question and the resurrection of Jimmy Power’s other project Superjoint, there’s no telling when fans may get another chance to see EYEHATEGOD out on the road again any time soon. Fan filmed footage of the show can be seen below.
