Elena Andujar's Flamenco In Time
Dance music with a beautiful Latin sound, flamenco is considered endangered music. Andujar is working to make sure that this type of music and dance is brought to new generations with music that combines the elements of flamenco with dance music that even the youngest music fan would appreciate. You don’t need specific moves and a flower in your hair to enjoy these grooves.

Andujar was born in Sevilla, the same place her beloved flamenco was born. She’s been listening to this music since childhood and took up dance in her pre-teen years. She started as a professional flamenco dancer in 1990 and even made her film debut dancing with Al Pacino in The Devil´s Advocate (which is an excellent movie).

Her passion for flamenco is evident in each track of her new album, Flamenco In Time. You don’t have to speak her language to enjoy the beauty in her voice or the danceable beats that back up her songs.

The album starts with a slower track, “Una Vez Mas.” This song may be mellow, but it’s still something you could dance to. The horns in this song are amazing and really stand out.

One of the most memorable tracks is Andujar’s rendition of “Fever.” Normally heard sung with a deeply smoky, sexy voice, this version is less sexy but will still give you goosebumps. The beat adds something more to this track, and so do the horns.

While listening to the seven tracks on this album you’ll easily find yourself picturing the intricate hand and leg movements of this type of dance. You’ll be whirled off into a Latin world of beauty and poise. It’s definitely a five-star album, full of talent and history.
