Diamonds and Whiskey’s Dark Country Voodoo

Diamonds and Whiskey's Dark Country Voodoo

Diamonds and Whiskey is a talented musical duo hailing from North Carolina. Their country music style is both outlaw and Americana. It’s not the twangy country that makes you hate the genre – it’s something different, with powerful female vocals, which draws you in and makes you want to know more, to hear more, to feel more.

Dark Voodoo Country dropped in early June and is available on Bandcamp. It’s a gritty album with songs you can sink your boot heels into.

“Rebel Child” opens the album up nicely. The lyrics, the instrumentation – everything about this song is beautiful.

“Heartbreak Queen” adds an interesting beat to the album. It’s got something extra, something that gets deep into your bones. This entire album will get under your skin.

A couple of the songs that stand out the most on Dark Voodoo Country are “Hold On” and “Whiskey Down.” “Hold On” has an outlaw sound and is reminiscent of those great TV show theme songs from True Blood and Sons of Anarchy. It’s a powerful track. “Whiskey Down” is a different class, amazing and catchy.

The eleven songs on this five-star album will leave you begging for more. Give it a listen, https://diamondsandwhiskey.bandcamp.com/releases
