DevilDriver’s Bound By The Road Tour

DevilDriver’s Bound By The Road tour made a stop in Baltimore on Monday night at Baltimore Soundstage. The tour which will wrap up on March 5th in Seattle at Studio Seven also features AZREAL, The Agonist, Winds of Plague, and Death Angel. Baltimore’s own Emerge A Tyrant got things started for the night taking the stage early to get the crowd warmed up.

Australia’s AZREAL were the first of the touring bands to take the stage. This is the bands first trip to North America and was for the most the first time hearing the band’s music which has been described along the lines of Lamb of God and Sepultura.  The band played a relatively short set of material from their two albums, Premonition and Better Dead. You can check out the band’s video for “”Cease To Be” below.

Following AZREAL were the female fronted band, The Agonist. The Agonist are touring in support of their fifth studio album Five, which was released back in September of 2016. It was a short six song set that left the fans of Baltimore wanting more, and will hopefully bring The Agonist back for a headlining show of their own. You can see the band’s latest video for “Take Me To Church” below. Check out our interview with guitarist Danny Marino HERE.

The Agonist Setlist:
You’re Coming With Me
Panophobia
The Anchor and the Sail
The Villain
A Necessary Evil
Gates of Horn and Ivory

Winds of Plague have wrapped up recording their new studio album which is slated to be released later this year. After the bands hiatus in 2015 Winds of Plague showed Baltimore that they are back with a vengeance and the crowd reacted as the floor quickly became a mosh pit thru out the bands set. Look for big things for Wings of Plague in 2017.

The iconic bay are thrash band, Death Angel were next up on the line up. Lead by vocalist Mark Osegueda, the band performed an eight song set which spanned the bands thirty year career starting with songs from their 1987 release, The Ultra-Violence, and ending with “The Moth” off of their 2016 release, The Evil Divide.

Death Angel Setlist:
The Ultra-Violence (Intro)
Evil Priest
Claws in So Deep
Left for Dead
Father of Lies
Caster of Shame
Thrown to the Wolves
The Moth

The last time DevilDriver was in Baltimore was back in June when they toured with Hatebreed, this time they return as the headliner and with a full production stage setup. DevilDriver are currently touring in support of their seventh studio album Trust No One which was released in the spring of 2016 and peaked at number three on the Billboard Top Hard Rock Albums. Dez and company ripped into a 13 song set that could easily make for a greatest hits album with such hits as, “End of the Line”, “I Could Care Less”, “Clouds Over California”, and closing with “Meet the Wretched”.

Devildriver Setlist:
End of the Line
Not All Who Wander Are Lost
Grinfucked
