Bobaflex Live @ H.O.M.E Bar 1/17/2016

For those brave souls who trekked out Sunday night got their money’s worth at H.O.M.E. Bar in Arlington Heights, IL.  With temperatures hovering below zero outside, I had the opportunity to check out the guys from Bobaflex for the first time before they opened up for Orgy.

The guys from West Virginia didn’t disappoint.  They put on an incredible show, belting out the classic tracks from their collection like “I’m Glad You’re Dead”, “Mama (Don’t Take My Drugs)” their new hit “Spider in the Dark”.  They even slowed it down at one point with their amazing rendition of the Simon and Garfunkel cover “The Sound of Silence”.

There is nothing better than when a bands connects with its audience rather than just stand there and play.  Bobaflex knows how to connect with their fans while on stage and then after their shows.  The guys walk around and mingle with fans, sign autographs and take photos.

I’m grateful I had the chance to catch Bobaflex perform on Sunday night because they had posted on their Facebook page earlier today that “Due to reasons beyond our control we will be dropping off the tour with Orgy after last night’s show in Chippewa Falls.”  They also stated in a comment “Orgy treated us like family.  We had a blast and we’ll never forget our time with these guys.  Class act all the way.  When we say Beyond our Control, we mean just that”.  One can only assume what the “Beyond our Control” means.
