Bobaflex: Live at The Boondocks Live in Melbourne, Florida 10/03/15

Bobaflex/Lydia Can’t Breathe @ The Boondocks Live Melbourne, Florida 10/03/2015

This past Saturday night, I took a mini road trip down 95 south to the town of Melbourne, Florida. Melbourne is located along the Atlantic coastline known as The Space Coast. It’s about 70 miles southeast of Orlando and 90 miles south of Daytona Beach. One of the most famous residents of Melbourne is the pioneer of classic rock and roll Jim Morrison. Otherwise known as the frontman for The Doors.

Lydia Can’t Breathe was the main support for Bobaflex. They hail from Melbourne as well. If you have never seen them, you should make it a point to do so. Vocalist Kyle Bolduc mentioned that with each tour, they pick a different movie theme. Saturday night, the theme of choice was Super Troopers. The theme was complete with a blow up doll as well! Check their Facebook page www.facebook.com/lydiacantbreathemusic or website http://www.lydiacantbreathe.com for tour/band updates.

Headliners Bobaflex hit the stage running with “Start a War” from the latest CD “Anything That Moves” released on July 17, 2015. The set from the very beginning was filled with a tremendous amount of energy. The crowd was very energetic while dancing and singing along as they played favorites “Mama (Don’t Take My Drugs Away)” and “I’m Glad You’re Dead” from the 2013 release Charlatan’s Web. Bobaflex also covered Simon & Garfunkel’s “The Sound Of Silence beautifully”. They closed the set with “Bury Me With My Guns On”. The energy coming from both the stage and the crowd never slowed down. With the crowd dancing and singing along, it’s safe to say everyone had a great time!
