Blossom Bash At The Anthem 4-6-2018

The first annual Blossom Bash was hosted at DC’s premier venue The Anthem on Friday night, 6000 fans turned out to see lovelytheband, Bush, and Third Eye Blind take the stage.

The night got off to an early start with doors opening at 5:30 and lovelytheband taking the stage at 7:00. lovelytheband released their six song debut EP, everything i could never say back in September of last year. The EP features the single, “Broken” which the band closed their short 30 minute set out with. The band will continue to tour thru the end of June, fans can follow the band HERE

 

Bush, one of the biggest bands from the 90’s took to the stage next to kick off their spring tour. The band are currently out touring in support of their seventh studio album Black and White Rainbows, which was released in early 2017 with an expanded deluxe edition being released in October of 2017. 

Bush’s set had everything fans could have hoped for. The band played all the classics, “Machinehead,” “The Chemicals Between Us,” Everything Zen,” “Greedy Fly,” “Little Things, “Glycerine,” and “Comedown”. The set also featured the R.E.M. cover of “The One I Love,” as well as “This is War” the newest single the band has released. 

Bush will continue this leg of the tour thru April before making numerous festival appearances across the country. In July the band will team up with Stone Temple Pilots and The Cult for the ‘Revolution 3’ tour that will run thru the beginning of September. Third Eye Blind closed out the nights events with a 16 song set that included two encores. The band currently back in San Francisco working on a new album, but flew out to the nations capital for this one off performance. 

The band’s set included all the crowd favorites including, “Graduate,” “Semi-Charmed Life,” and closed with “How’s It Going to Be.”

Third Eye Blind will make several festival appearances this summer appearing at Beale Street Music Festival, The Governors Ball, SunFest, Neon Desert Music Festival, Clusterfest, and Bunbury Music Festival. Fans can stay up to date on all that is Third Eye Blind HERE
