Blakeley's single "Holiday Vinyl"
Blakeley is a Brooklyn songstress with a talent for making music in a multitude of genres, from EDM to folk. For “Holiday Vinyl” Blakeley reaches into her heart to create a raw song about feelings and the holidays. According to the lyrics, she has the “New York City Christmas blues.” It’s a sad song, laced with Jack Daniels and fresh snow.

If you’re looking for an honest song about loneliness and heartache this holiday season, this might be the song for you. It comes with the bells you’d expect to hear in a Christmas song, minus the wonderland cheer. Names are dropped, as are titles of a vintage Christmas song or two. The song talks about dancing with a lover and kissing a lover, but it still has that sad feeling of vulnerability and loneliness during the holidays. It’s definitely an emotional song.

It’s enjoyable because it’s a creative song and it helps you remember that the holidays aren’t always a cheerful time of the year. Definitely one of the best new holiday songs out there.
