Adam Winn’s EP

Adam Winn is one of those singers that has a voice you just become mesmerized with when you listen. It’s easy to listen to, it’s comforting, and he sounds more like himself than anyone else, even though there are times when you will think his voice reminds you of another singer. This new EP is a true testament to this Canadian singer’s talent. His music can best be described as folk. His bio says that you might like him if you’re a fan of Ray Lamontagne or Bright Eyes.

The first song on the EP, “Creston,” is an amazing story about life. Sometimes things sneak up on you, but if you just keep going you’ll get through it. The beat is really interesting on this one, and it helps make the song sound more like a story.

The video for the second track, “Burnout,” lets you get a glimpse into Winn’s talent, showing his skills not only at singing but also at the guitar and harmonica. He definitely fits the bill of a singer/songwriter.

“Better Friend” starts out with a simple sound, but the music picks up and you will be happy you stuck around and kept listening. Not all of Winn’s songs sound the same, and it’s nice that he changes up the beat and makes the songs each their own entity. He is a beautiful storyteller.

The EP has five songs. This is just a glimpse into the first three of them.
