Pierce The Veil’s Misadventures (Fearless Records) debuts this week on Billboard’s Top 200 and Top Current Albums charts at #4, selling nearly twice as many albums as their last release did in its debut week, and marking the highest debut of the band’s career. Pierce the Veil’s 2012 release, Collide With The Sky, entered the Billboard 200 chart at #12.
In addition, Misadventures claimed the #1 spot on Billboard’s Rock, Hard Rock, Alternative and Independent Albums charts, and scored the #5 position on the Digital Albums chart, with nearly 5.2-million streams.
“Circles,” the first single from the new album was featured by BBC Radio-1 as “The Hottest Record in the World,” and, with more than 3.2-million streams to date, has just gone to Alt and Active Rock radio here in the U.S. Pierce the Veil is set to perform the song for the first time on national television on “Conan,” Monday, June 27 (TBS, 11PM/10PM Central).
To coincide with the release of Misadventures, magazines such as Alternative Press (“Misadventures is the stuff of time capsules“), the UK’s Kerrang! (“Pierce the Veil’s best offering to date”), and Rock Sound have the band on their respective covers;
Rolling Stone.com featured the band upon the album’s release, and PTV is also gracing the pages in the new issues of Revolver, Outburn, New Noise, and more.
Pierce The Veil – Vic Fuentes/guitar & vocals, Tony Perry/guitar, Jaime Preciado/bass, and Mike Fuentes/drums – launches its near-sold-out16-date “Misadventures” tour on June 5, where the band will play the entire new album, start to finish. Dates are below.
