Loudoun Youth Inc. has seized the opportunity to assist up and coming youth bands reach their full potential.
Making high school bands the future of the music scene, Loudoun Youth Inc. is the division that oversees all youth music events and programming conducted in Loudoun County, N.V. The events and programs are sponsored by supporters such as AOL, Miller & Smith and Wells Fargo.
Youthfest is one of many programs created for the young music lovers. The contest is a series of three battles in which bands compete to perform in the music festival. Winning the final battle allows the winning band to become the openers for the Youthfest festival. Past years headliners have included bands such as Mayday Parade, The Ready Set and The Mowgli’s.
Youthfest prides itself on being an outlet for younger bands to receive notoriety. It allows for younger bands to perform in one-to-three shows, and have experience playing on a stage.
After performing at Youthfest, bands often branch out to playing local venues where they have the opportunity for their careers to take off. Following these performances, it also gives the bands a chance to gain a solid fanbase.
Youthfest festival is scheduled for June 17. at The Barn in Ashburn, V.A.The events and programs for Loudoun Youth Inc. are sponsored by supporters such as AOL, Miller & Smith and Wells Fargo. The remaining battles this year are on March 24. at The Studio in Dulles V.A. and April 21. at Tally Ho in Leesburg, V.A.
